The Plus program is promoted by CALLERLAB as the next program after Mainstream,
for dancers who are interested in and ready to learn additional calls.
History
The "Plus" program has long been popular in California and elsewhere, as a "club level" and at festivals,
but some clubs also have used it as an entry-level program, offering classes for beginners that teach everything through Plus.
Exactly which calls were included has changed over the years. As of 2025, the Plus list contained 29 numbered
"calls" beyond Mainstream, for a total of about 100 calls.

Current Version
The current version of Plus became the worldwide standard as of 1 September 2026. (To distinguish this from earlier versions, this version is sometimes referred to as "new Plus" or "Plus 2026".)
Highlights:
- As with past versions of Mainstream and Plus, all calls on the new Mainstream list are considered to be included in the new Plus program.
- This version of Plus consists of 50 numbered calls (beyond those included in Mainstream).
- The new Plus list includes all the calls that were part of Basic or Mainstream but that are not included in new Mainstream.
- The new Plus list also includes eight additional calls that were not previously part of Plus.
